The Final Four of Collegiate Chess consists of a four-team, three-round round robin, with Miami Dade, New York University, University of Texas at Dallas, and University of Maryland Baltimore County qualifying through the 2007 Pan-American Championships. In the end UT-Dallas wins with a dramatic 2½-1½ match win over UMBC. It came down to Davorin Kuljasevic versus Pawel Blehm, and UTD ahead by ½ point. Kuljasevic was up a few too many pawns in a Knight vs Bishop ending to give UTD the championship this year. Below are games by MDC GM Renier Gonzalez and GM Sergey Erenburg as well as the final dramatic match.
